Memorial Day 2021, Random Photographs

Salt Lake City Cemetery, I have marked all of the headstones that are extremely leaning

or have toppled over.  It is not rare for a headstone to lean or fall over, however I have

never seen so many headstones at one time that have fallen over or are leaning.

The Frontier Mine No. 1 coal miner's graves marked with flowers, that you can see.

There are many more graves hidden behind the graves stones

and there are many graves without headstones.

A sample of a group of graves with 5 headstones,

but there are 9 coalminer graves in this photograph.

This photograph is across the street from the previous photograph.

This is a group of  8 Frontier Mine No. 1 coal miners buried together.

Tuesday while I was at the Rock Springs Cemetery it was busy with mowing and edging.

In fact I had to wait to decorate several graves for the landscapers to edge around the headstones.

I imagine that the landscapers feel like is a never ending job trying to edge around each headstone.

The Rock Springs Cemetery looked great.

So many birds at the cemetery and I was able to catch a photo of this

little robin on top of this beautiful headstone.

In addition to preparing for Memorial Day weekend,

the cemeteries were doing their typical work, preparing for burials.

My first visit to the Bear River Cemetery.  Look at this darling  cemetery entrance.

Look at that early date on the front of this entrance marker, 1899.

Another stunning view of Bear Lake.
