"Bernhard Stampff, of Hamburg, Germany write to Mayor H. H. Edgar, relative to the where abouts (sic) of his brother Rudolf Stampff who in 1888 was engaged as a butcher in Rock Springs and Fort Laramie. Since that year his family has heard no word from him or off (sic) him. His brother is anxious to trace him and any information leading to the location of the missing man will be appreciated by Mayor Edgar who will transmit the news to Germany."
