Uinta County Wyoming

Uinta County was named for the Uintah Indians.  The Uinta (Ute) mountain range runs east and west.  The county was organized April 7, 1870, with Evanston as its seat.*

After leaving Pennsylvania, the Roberts family—Margaret and her children—settled in Almy, a small town outside of Evanston in Uinta County.  Uinta County was where Isaac Roberts(10) filed his papers of intent for citizenship.  It is also the birth place of Hugh and Margaret's grandchildren.
