4,339 with an accuracy of 98% Whew...that was allot of names! ! !

This morning I reached my personal goal of  Indexing 4,100  names with an accuracy rate of  98%! ! ! Not to brag,  but I'm pretty pleased with myself,  because that is allot of work! ! ! So, I'll finish out the month  (at a regular pace) and let you know my final results in a couple of days! ! !  Have you tried Indexing? It is very fun and rewarding, Go try it here ! ! !

 I reached my goal of 3,000 names and 98% accuracy.   In fact today, I am currently at 3,120 with 98% accuracy.   New goal for July, how about 4,100...let's see what I can do!

Indexing 2,000 names this month is not a very realistic goal for me.   I have already met that goal this weekend.  So I have updated my goal to 3,000 names.

A couple of weeks ago, I participated in the FamilySearch "Index 5 Million Names", which was kind of fun, but you all know I'd rather research... BUT . . . not recently!   (Yep, even I get burned out!) With the fire scare and everything needing to still be unpacked and photographed, I need a diversion! I had the stomach flu from Sunday through Tuesday.  Bored, I  Indexed and I even did a little on Wednesday--as a relief from stress! On the drive into the Library on Thursday morning, I decided to make my own personal Indexing goal for July since I already had such a high number of about 1,000 names. I decided my July goal will be to Index 2,000 names and keep my accuracy at 98% So, there's my goal, I'll keep you posted.

. . .so that all of these little cuties will know and love their ancestors.  I want them to understand their link to the past--coal, mining, England, and Wales--and so that they will know who they are!

Update on the documents count ( from this previous post ): So far from the 33 documents that I gathered in Iowa  I have found a total of  125 more documents! That trip continues to further the research on my Roberts collateral lines!

After the fire scare a couple of weeks ago I have been very busy with "life" stuff.  I haven't done too much research or other family history work. Sometimes you just have to jump back into life and interact with the living!  I have been busy with my children and grandchildren. Last week was my in-laws family reunion down at Yuba Lake.  I was watching my grandchildren play with their second cousins--laughing, pretending and playing.  It seemed like only yesterday my children were playing with their own cousins doing the exact same thing.  I then realized that the 2nd cousin relationship is not really that distant!  As I looked at these sweet children, I was saddened that our family never has had this type of closeness so that second cousins knew each other and grew up with each other. Just as the sadness filled me I realized that the opportunity I have had to research the Roberts family has given me intimate details into their/your personal lives.  Maybe I didn'
