After leaving Pennsylvania, the Roberts family—Margaret and her children—settled in Almy, a small town outside of Evanston in Uinta County.  When the family deemed the mine in Almy too dangerous, the family then moved to Rock Springs, Sweetwater County, Wyoming.  After a short stay in Rock Springs, Joseph Jones—husband of Sarah Ann Roberts (11) and Hugh Thomas Roberts (12) and their respective families moved to Des Moines, Iowa.
